Dr.Samuel George Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences is established under the aegis of  National Council

for the Church and Social Action, India founded by Late Rev.Dr.Samuel George, besides pharmacy courses

of B.Pharm and D.Pharm, the management is also running Engineering College, paramedical college and also

M.C.A college at Markapur. At Kurnool the management has a B.Ed college,  Degree college, High School and

also junior College at Atmakur (Kurnool Dt). Management is also running a well equipped hospital at Markapur.

The present Pharmacy college is non- minority college, established in 2001 in a sprawling campus. It has well

equipped laboratories and fully functional computer centre with Internet facility. The college has well established

Library with sufficient volumes of books and National and International journals. Well qualified and competent

staff are available for both B.Pharm and D.Pharm  courses. It is approved by AICTE, affiliated to Acharya

Nagarjuna University and approved by Pharmacy Council of India. It also ISO 9001-2000 Certified Institute. It is

proposed to introduce M.Pharm ( Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis ) courses by the academic year

2009 - 2010 under the guidance of Dr.Satyanand
